My mission is simple...to familiarize people with the part of my city I refer to as “My Beat”, which includes everything from about U-Village west to 8th NW and from the ship canal North to around 130th. I may get into Ballard a little, but I spent so much time there in the bad years that it is not a pleasant place for m anymore...especially after the Yuppie invasion of the ‘90’s. For tourists, I will try to both inform and warn you. Chances are you chose your time for a visit wisely and the weather is, or will be, half way decent. This lulls many into a false |

belief that it is always that way, they move here, and then jump off the Aurora Bridge (pictured below) after eight months of unrelenting, colorless grey. Little Spoken of Fact: In addition to being one of the music capitols of the U.S., Seattle is also number one in suicide rates. That usually does not show up on the procures. |
